Globsyn’s Corporate Social Responsibility is tied to community welfare though skills training. The Globsyn Skills’ training program under CSR, seeks to make underprivileged unskilled and/or semi-skilled individuals skilled members of the workforce such that they are able to earn better wages that contributes in improving their quality of life. The training sectors covered include Computer Programming, Retail, BFSI, Telecom, Automotive, Hospitality and Tourism. The entire cost of the training is borne by Globsyn Skills.
The Globsyn Skills CSR training programs are geared towards benefitting economically challenged individuals of West Bengal but will eventually be extended to the 450+ training centers across India. The training is provided as per the NSQF framework and students get an NSDC certificate following successful completion of the course, which add to their future employability. All the participants in the Globsyn Skills CSR training program are recognized at the National Skills Convocation organized every year.
Globsyn has decided to dedicate 3% of its total skills training seats to the rural poor since 2014 to provide them with livelihood opportunities that would make them financially independent. The CSR skills training target for 2015 is to provide skills training to 300 individuals, out of whom 230 would be from an economically challenged background and 70 would be physically challenged people.
